Best Location To Shoot Your Perfect Bridal Session

May 1, 2022

Wedding planning is new territory for the people. It’s likely the first time you’ve considered a location’s photographic potential. One of the most important aspects of a wedding is photography. The photographs capture priceless moments and turn them into priceless treasures, evoking a range of emotions as you reminisce.

In Sydney, there are a plethora of breathtaking wedding photo locations. The options are endless beaches, sandstone walls, old sandstone buildings, the iconic bridge, and the opera house are just a few of the attractions. Some incredibly beautiful green parks nestled amongst ultra-modern architecture.

Sydney Opera House & Circular Quay

The iconic Sydney Opera House will provide a stunning backdrop for your wedding photographs. It is one of the most desirable wedding photography locations in the city. The royal botanical garden is just a short walk from the Sydney Opera House, so you can get the best of both worlds in your photos. With this classic work of art, you can get some epic shots.

In the background, you can see the Sydney Opera House and the Harbor Bridge.

Dendy Cinemas at Circular Quay has a black and white patterned floor for timeless aerial photos of you. If you’re wearing a long train or a princess-style gown, your photos will feel even more regal.

When the sky is clear, we can often get golden hour lighting and a beautiful sunset.

The Rocks

The Rocks are nearly one of Sydney’s most photographed locations. The Observatory Hill, Lower Fort St, Argyle St, Dawes Point, Walsh Bay, and some hidden alleyways are all popular wedding photography locations in The Rocks. The Rocks is also a great location for wedding photography, as we can photograph a wedding from sunrise to sunset.

There are a lot of cute bars and cafes that add character to the area and can provide some unique photo opportunities.

Alleyways with exposed brick give the impression of being in a rustic setting.

Color and quirkiness are added to your photos by old buildings.Shoot Your Perfect

Observatory Hill

The Rocks are located in the heart of the city. Observatory Hill is a popular location for weddings and wedding photography because of its panoramic views of Sydney Harbor.

The city skyline and beautiful trees/nature can be seen from Observatory Hill. It takes you up close and personal with the Sydney Harbor Bridge.

The attractive features:

  • The massive fig tree of Moreton Bay.
  • The Sydney Observatory is surrounded by walls that have a rustic feel to them.

Centennial Park

Mosman is a popular photography location due to its beautiful beaches and waterfront views of the Harbor. It’s a nice mix of city and nature, which results in some stunning sunset and wide-angle shots. You can’t go wrong with a beach shoot, either.

Balmoral Beach’s bridge is ideal for walking shots and group shots of the bridal party, the pier at Bradley’s Head puts you right on the water and allows you to take some stunning photos of the two of you with the Sydney skyline in the background.

The beach at Clifton Gardens is perfect for a more relaxed photo-shoot. Old stone brick structures at Gunner’s Barracks will make you look like you’re straight out of an advertisement in some photos taken on the bridge.

Royal Botanical Gardens Sydney

You can’t go wrong with nature for your wedding photography. The variety of types and colors of flora available as a backdrop distinguishes the Royal Botanical Garden. Pink flowers, lavender, and even cacti planets are used to add texture and pop to your wedding photographs.

There are numerous photo opportunities on the premises.

The reception hall’s split level allows for aerial shots.

Eden Gardens

For wedding photography, this private garden space in Macquarie Park offers a diverse range of flora, various types of gardens, and unique sculptures located throughout the gardens. This location can also be used for both the ceremony and the reception, allowing you to have your entire wedding in one location.

Eden Gardens is an excellent choice if you’re planning a wedding at nearby venues such as Curzon Hall, Oatlands House, Lauriston House, or Epping Club. Eden Gardens is only minutes away, rather than an hour or more driving to the Botanical Gardens or Centennial Park.

Seasonal Gardens change throughout the year, providing you with a backdrop that corresponds to the season of your wedding.

QVB

The QVB is a beautiful place to have indoor wedding photos that are more than just walls if you prefer to have photos indoors or if it happens to be raining on your wedding day. Grand stairwells, stained-glass windows, and the building’s height provide a wide range of backdrops and variety for your wedding photography.

The stairwells are something you’ll enjoy about the place. Whether you’re walking down the stairs or we’re taking photos from above, they allow us to experiment with height and add dimension to your photos.

The arches’ architecture and detailed molding give your photos a vintage feel and make them feel grander.

The variety of colors on the walls adds a nice pop and makes the room stand out. Even though it is a busy shopping center, you may be able to capture some great moments of you and your partner lost in your world amidst the chaos and movement of people.

Martin Place

Martin Place is one of Sydney’s most well-known financial and business districts. The area is surrounded by many heritage sites. Which makes it stand out for wedding photography.

Beautiful architecture can be seen in the columns, archways, and architectural details in the buildings themselves.

Your photos will have a whimsical and romantic feel thanks to the alleyway in Angel Place filled with hanging bird cages.

Hyde Park

Hyde Park is one of Australia’s most well-known parks, as well as its oldest. In the heart of the city, Hyde Park offers 16 hectares of open space. As a result, it’s a very convenient location to visit if you want to include some greenery in your wedding photo collections.

Hyde Park’s attraction:

  • Water fountain designed by Archibald.
  • The path is lined with towering trees and illumination!
  • For people interested in a traditional wedding in the city, St. Mary’s Cathedral is close by.

Watsons Bay

Watsons Bay is located at the southernmost point of the South Head Peninsula, and it’s a great place to visit if you don’t want to get sand in your shoes. Docks, walkways, and even the well-known lighthouse can all be used as backdrops for your wedding photography.

You can take photos on the cliffs with the waves crashing right up against you and your partner. When done at sunset, it looks magical. The docks in the area would be perfect for walking or candid photos of you and your partner.

Because it is a heritage site, the iconic Hornby Lighthouse adds some character to your photos.

Barangaroo Reserve

The newest wedding photography location in Sydney is Barangaroo Reserve. It’s a waterfront venue with spectacular city views and the Harbor Bridge as a backdrop. Barangaroo Reserve was created by transforming one of Sydney’s original industrial harbors, giving it character and rich history.

The unique attributes of the place:

  • The rustic-looking metal wall – we like to use the shadows that fall on it to create some unique shots.
  • The sandstone, the backdrop is the Harbor Bridge.
  • There are a variety of indoor and outdoor venues where you can hold your wedding.

Fagan Park, Galston

In Hornsby Shire, Fagan Park is a hidden gem. It spans 55 hectares and features a variety of activities for all ages.

Wedding photography backdrops are both diverse and stunning. It has a good collection of international gardens in one location, including gardens from Africa, Australia, China, the Netherlands, England, Japan, the Mediterranean, North America, and South America.
